Celebrating excellence in a year of uncertainty

In a year full of uncertainties, Waypoint team members rose to the challenge and continued to demonstrate excellence in caring for patients, day in and day out. In recognition of these contributions, the hospital hosted the virtual Celebration of Excellence to share the exceptional work throughout the year.

The excellence awards are peer nominated awards that recognize and honour individuals and teams for their achievements and contributions demonstrating the hospital values of Caring, Respect, Accountability, and Innovation, as well as Collaboration, Leadership, Psychological Health, Safety and Wellness, and Teamwork.

“Whether their actions are simple and special, or grand and complex, in the hospital, in the community, on our clinical units, or behind the scenes, each of the nominees are truly inspiring and their commitment, dedication, and passion is what makes Waypoint outstanding,” said Carol Lambie, President and CEO.

The selection committee faced the difficult task of choosing the recipients in eight categories from the 30 nominations received. This year’s recipients are:

Congratulations.”

The annual Celebration of Excellence is part of Waypoint’s broader recognition program. Nominations are accepted throughout the year from staff, patients, clients and community members.
